Description

MC-Epo Prime is a solvent-containing penetrating epoxy primer for old and new concrete surfaces.

Where to use

Primer for epoxy mortars and coatings, whether solvent-containing or solvent-free. Curing compound and sealer for concrete, masonry, marble, steel and wood according to the approved source. Showrooms, underground car parks, aircraft hangars, car service stations, and oil, petroleum and chemical factories.

Advantages

Excellent adhesion to old and new concrete. Treated concrete resists mineral oil, petrol and de-icing salts according to the approved source. Increases surface abrasion resistance. Can be used as a curing compound to protect fresh concrete from aggressive industrial fumes according to the approved source. Can be used as an epoxy primer on steel or concrete.

Surface preparation

Surface preparation: surfaces must be degreased, clean, dry and free from contamination. New concrete should be at least 28 days old when the product is used as a primer or sealer.

Mixing

Mixing: mix according to the stated ratio and prepare only a quantity that can be applied within two hours at 20-25°C.

Application

Application: apply by brush, roller, conventional spray or airless spray.

Cleaning

Clean tools and equipment with a suitable thinner before the material hardens.

Safety

Prevent material from entering the eyes and avoid skin contact. Provide adequate ventilation. Keep away from sparks and flames where solvent-containing materials are involved.

Storage / shelf life

Shelf life is 1 year under normal storage conditions.

Packaging

Clear: 6 kg (4 kg base + 2 kg curing agent). Coloured: 6 kg (5 kg base + 1 kg curing agent).
