Description

MC-Deck Seal W.B is a one-component bitumen-based waterproofing coating, free from tar, phenol and solvents. The source references ASTM D 122-95 Type III.

Where to use

Waterproofing concrete foundations. Basement walls and underground concrete structures. Waterproofing systems over masonry and plaster. Prepared iron and steel surfaces. Protection of roof felt and roof waterproofing layers, as described by the source.

Advantages

Surface preparation & application

Clean the substrate thoroughly of dirt, loose particles, oil and contaminants; remove rust from iron/steel surfaces. Apply by brush or spray according to substrate and site requirements. At least two coats are recommended; do not apply the next coat until the previous coat has dried. A primer coat may be prepared by diluting MC-Deck Seal W.B with 10-30% clean water to help close concrete porosity. Subsequent coats may be diluted with 10-15% clean water where required for application.
