Description
MC-Poly Seal Primer is a one-component low-viscosity polymeric material used as a primer before compatible joint sealants.
Where to use
Most porous substrates such as concrete, timber and stone where improved sealant adhesion is required. The source identifies use with compatible MCT joint sealants including MC-Poly Seal and MC-Poly Seal 2.
Advantages
Good penetration into porous substrates. Improves adhesion of the joint sealant to the prepared substrate. Helps fill surface pores and strengthen weak surface zones. Helps reduce capillary moisture transmission through the substrate, as stated by the source.
Application
The joint must be completely clean and dry. Apply primer by brush or spray to the joint sides only. Apply the joint sealant after the primer has dried; the source states a minimum waiting time of approximately 1 hour and a maximum of approximately 24 hours.
Safety, storage & packaging
Provide adequate ventilation. Keep away from sparks and sources of flame. Prevent contact with eyes and skin. Shelf life: 12 months. Packaging: 1, 5 and 20 kg.
