Description
MC-N.S.P 213 is a two-component epoxy mortar / paste with a soft, non-sag consistency. It is used as a high-strength fixing, bonding, filling and structural repair material on both vertical and horizontal surfaces.
Where to use
Fixing reinforcing bars, dowels, bolts and anchor rods. Filling cracks, joints, voids and defects in concrete surfaces. Installing coving seals at wall-to-floor junctions and similar joints. Structural restoration and repair where high strength and non-sag behavior are required.
Advantages
Non-sag and non-shrink. Easy to mix and apply on horizontal or vertical surfaces. Can be used at low temperature within the source limitations. Very high strength. Fast curing. High bond strength to concrete and resistance to corrosive environments, as stated by the source.
Surface preparation & mixing
Surfaces must be clean, sound and dry, free from paint, sealant, oils, grease, weak material and other contamination. Conventional preparation methods such as acid etching or mechanical scarification may be used as appropriate. Mix the product components thoroughly in the specified proportions until homogeneous before use.
Anchoring application
Select the hole diameter to suit the reinforcing bar or anchor. The source example uses a 19 mm hole for a 13 mm bar. Hole depth should be not less than 10-15 times the bar diameter. Fill approximately one quarter of the hole depth with MC-N.S.P 213 immediately before inserting the anchor element.
Limitations
Application below an ambient temperature of 8°C is not recommended. Prolonged exposure above 80°C is not recommended.
Cleaning, safety & packaging
Clean tools and equipment with a suitable epoxy thinner before the material hardens. Prevent material from entering the eyes and avoid direct skin contact. Shelf life is at least 1 year in unopened containers. Packaging: 5.36 kg total - 5 kg resin + 0.36 kg hardener.
