Description
MC-Master Patch is a high-strength, shrinkage-compensating mortar for repairing existing concrete or use in new construction. The source indicates repair thicknesses of 25-200 mm and typical downtime of 24-48 hours after installation.
Where to use
Floor maintenance repair. Sidewalk, driveway and pavement repair. Installations exposed to a wide range of temperature and humidity conditions. Parking garages, decks, ramps, roadways and other frequently trafficked areas. Applications requiring high early strength. Deteriorated joints and pipe lining.
Advantages
Ready to use - requires only potable water for mixing. Shrinkage compensation helps minimize drying-shrinkage effects. Extended working time supports finishing as a plain topping or as a base for dry-shake hardeners. High early and ultimate strength. Chloride free. Improved abrasion resistance compared with plain concrete, according to the source. Appearance similar to plain concrete.
Mixing & application
Add 3.0-3.5 L of water per 25 kg bag, depending on the required consistency. The substrate should be clean, sound and free from weak material and contamination; dampen the surface before application where appropriate. Place and compact the mortar thoroughly to ensure full contact with the substrate, then finish to the required surface profile.
Curing
Begin curing promptly after application using water or an appropriate curing compound, according to site conditions.
Packaging & related product
Packed in 25 kg moisture-resistant bags. The source also identifies MC-Patch T.C as a polymer-modified related repair mortar with similar application areas and separate packaging.
