Description

MC-Master Floor is a ready-to-use coloured surface hardener applied as a dry shake over freshly levelled and prepared concrete. It provides an economical method of colouring and improving new industrial, commercial and residential floor surfaces.

Where to use

Colouring and hardening indoor and outdoor installations subject to heavy traffic. Industrial floors, warehouses and storage areas, automotive service shops and maintenance facilities. Shopping centres, schools, theatres, hospitals, parking garages, sidewalks, driveways and patios. Areas where a more uniform, attractive colour is desired to improve the floor and working environment.

Advantages

Portland-cement-based binder with graded silica aggregate and light-fast, alkali-fast inorganic pigments. Increases surface strength, durability and wear resistance. Built-in colour reduces the need for periodic repainting. High-density, easy-to-clean surface resistant to liquid penetration. According to the source, improves resistance to scaling in slabs exposed to de-icing salts. Available in high-reflectance colours according to the source. Selected components support uniform colour and density.

Limitations

Not recommended for areas exposed to acids.

Application rate

Use 5 kg of MC-Master Floor per square metre to obtain a heavy-duty surface. The source states that lower application rates can provide proportionate results for lighter-duty service.

Curing & finish protection

Cure the floor with water or an MCT-approved curing compound. Coloured floors require additional care during installation and protection from staining or damage after finishing. The final colour and appearance may be affected by batching, finishing, curing and surface-protection conditions, as noted by the source.

Precautions

Do not use salt water or brackish water for curing. The product contains cement and may cause irritation; avoid eye contact and prolonged skin contact.

Packaging

MC-Master Floor is supplied in 25 kg moisture-resistant bags.
