Description
MC-Grout E.X is a powder additive for cement-sand mortar and cementitious grout. It is used to help reduce mixing-water demand, improve fluidity and provide expansion in the fluid phase.
Where to use
Cementitious and sand-cement grouts used for injection and grouting. Production of preplaced-aggregate concrete above or below water. Pumping and injection where improved penetration into narrow paths is required. Special grout and repair fills in concrete structures.
Advantages
Helps produce highly fluid grout with reduced mixing water. Lubricating effect helps reduce pumping pressure and facilitates transmission through long lines. Does not affect setting time, according to the source. Provides fluid-phase expansion to help compensate for shrinkage in conventional grout.
Use notes
Expansion depends on the alkali content of the cement. Where expansion and compressive strength are critical, prepare trial mixes in advance to verify the required properties. Dose the product within the stated percentage by cement weight and adjust mixing water and consistency for the intended placement.
Storage & references
