Description

MC-Epo Point is a solvent-free three-component epoxy mortar comprising epoxy resin, amine hardener and specially selected filler.

Where to use

Pointing mortar for blue bricks and tiles lining wastewater tunnels. Manholes, sewage plants and related wastewater structures.

Advantages

Pre-measured packaging. Non-sag; suitable for horizontal and vertical application. Resistant to wastewater, dilute acids and alkalis according to the approved source. Can be applied on dry or damp surfaces. No primer is required according to the approved source. Long pot life.

Surface preparation

The surface to be pointed must be clean, sound and free from oil or greasy contamination. The approved source states that a primer coat is not required.

Mixing

Thoroughly mix the resin component with the hardener using a low-speed mechanical mixer until homogeneous. Add the filler gradually while mixing until a uniform colour and consistency are obtained.

Application

Fill the joints using a hand gun, pointing trowel, spatula or other suitable pointing tool.

Cleaning

Clean tools and equipment with MC-Thinner 02 before the material hardens.

Packaging

40 kg: 4 kg resin + 2.7 kg hardener + 33.3 kg filler.

Safety

Prevent material from entering the eyes and avoid direct skin contact. Work in well-ventilated areas. Keep away from flame and sparks when solvents are being used.

Storage / shelf life

Shelf life is 12 months when stored under suitable conditions.
