Description
MC-Curo 200 is a special rubber-polymeric material used as a curing and sealing compound. The controlled publication basis is ASTM C309-81 Type 2, Class B.
Selected applications
• Curing compound for protecting fresh concrete against evaporation. • Sealer for existing plain concrete floors. • Concrete coating over cementitious concrete floor hardeners.
Where to use
• Large horizontal or inclined concrete surfaces. • Airfields and highways. • Pavements, walls and dams. • Bridges and foundation slabs. • Other concrete surfaces.
Advantages
• May be applied to horizontal or vertical surfaces, smooth or textured, indoors or outdoors. • Used as a sealer to reduce dusting and make sweeping and cleaning easier. • Protects fresh concrete against evaporation, helping maintain mechanical properties and reduce shrinkage.
Surface preparation
Apply immediately after the exposed concrete surface has hardened. If the concrete has lost some of its greenness, dampen the surface first with water. The surface must be free of standing water before MC-Curo 200 is applied.
Application
• Apply by spray to freshly poured concrete using a garden-type or industrial sprayer. • MC-Curo 200 can also be applied by roller. If rolling creates tiny surface bubbles, slow the rolling motion. • Do not pull the material during application. • If a second thin application is required for aesthetic purposes, allow the first coat to dry thoroughly before the second coat.
Cleaning
Clean spraying equipment or rollers with a suitable thinner.
Safety precautions
• MC-Curo 200 is combustible; keep away from sparks and flame. • Prevent material from entering the eyes. • Avoid skin contact.
Storage / packaging
Shelf life: 1 year in tightly closed containers. Packaging: 210 L.
